Zero Waste Holidays and Reflections of 2016
I don’t need anything and neither do a lot of people. However, sometimes you have to concede to others wishes. This year I consolidated as much shopping as possible and shipped to one location. I am also DIY’ing a lot of stocking stuffers for the men and women in my life. I am a big believer in experience gifts as well.
Ill give a report as to what I end up making; thinking – scrubs, balms, edibles and the like. I have plenty of repurpose jars for this kind of stuff! What do you make goes over really well? Need some inspiration! I also plan to wrap/bag my gifts in recycled paper and other things around my house and then reuse again! Do what you preach!
2016, what a year. So much growth, learning, internal change, challenges, feels……I had a great 2016. My existence on this planet has been heightened, revamped, recalculated, renewed. I am a happier, self-loved person. I have knocked away a lot of things that no longer serve me and discovered and rediscovered those that do.
I am still changing, relearning and growing. Every day I wake up thinking about why I woke up. I struggled with harsh things in the Spring and took about 6 months to tackle each item. What an amazing, eye opening experience. One in which I am grateful and ready to go to the next level and or move on.
Always keep moving forward. I am excited for 2017. New challenges, curves, battles, love and everything else in between. Never give up and never look back. If you do, appreciate the experience and learn…and then keep moving forward. My mantra for 2017: FEARLESS.
