Medical advancements and technology have vastly improved our lives and the longevity of humans.

This topic will be expanded upon in a future article; many technological and innovative ideas are being explored!!!

So, how can we meet in the middle to create less waste or use more eco-friendly products at the individual consumer level?

There are several choices or considerations when choosing medical supplies for everyday use -

Choosing Paper Tape

Choose latex free and/or biodegradable bandages such as “All Terrain”

Reviewing Natural Remedies – for wounds, stomach upset, bruising, headaches etc

Choosing Organic Cotton

Reviewing Local/Indigenous Products/Considerations

Considering Liquid Bandages

Be sure to seek medical attention and care for large cuts/abrasions, excessive burns and anything else you deem doctor worthy. The above are just ideas; seek professional help when necessary and critical.

Disposal/Recycling –

Check with your local recycling program if the paper backings, single film plastic and/or other items may be placed into your recycle bins. There are some who compost their bandaids as well. As always, research and determine what is best for you and your family or friends!
