A lot of us have been in our homes for a while. Lots of reorganization and side projects abound.

What have you discovered in your home?

Donations?

Unused great items?

Recycling?

Donations:

Right now, with the majority of donation centers closed, we are tempted to just put items into the trash and let them head to the dump.

Rather than that, put your donations to the side for a future drop off, recheck your local donation drops or pick ups status.

Recyclable or Repurposed Items:

What can you do with some items on hand in which you would otherwise either recycle or never use for its original purpose? Is there something that you want at the store or online, but yet can not access? Perhaps something you already have can fill its purpose? Get creative! Use your google machine! Reach out to your community for help.

Unused Great Items:

Can you now use them? Or perhaps reach out to your local Buy Nothing group for a 'gift'.

Now is another great time to start your garden with composting! There are many ways to have your own compost heap; be sure to double check what can go in it! Use the castings to feed your garden!

Also, are there items that you never have used or barely use that you no longer have a need for? More than likely you don't need to buy them in the future either; save money - score!

There are many opportunities during this time to be more green! We just have to get creative.

Never hesitate to reach out with questions.
