Facial Moisturizer and Scrub!
I have used up of my bottles of facial moisturizer and scrub products.
Been using my castor oil as a replacement, but wanted a recipe with a bit more oopmf!
Found quite a few online. Stuck with the ones that I already had ingredients on hand. Will try out more and post as I go along in my discovery.
Made a facial scrub from the following:
Sweet Orange (can use a variety of essential oils)
Coconut Oil
Sugar
Some advised to only use a bit of each and no coconut oil; make in small quanities and use immediately. I added the coconut oil for a bit more comfort. I placed the mixture into a very small mason jar.
Facial Moisturizer:
Vitamin E
Almond Oil
Aloe Vera Gel
Coconut Oil
Mixed together and placed into a small mason jar.
This was solidified, but not as hard as I thought it would; I am still able to pick out a small portion. Next time, I will be sure to whip!
Ill be testing these out for a week or so to see how my skin reacts.
I am intrigued by a recipe that calls for Rose Hip Essential Oils; its good for anti-aging properties.
I mean, I a'int getting any younger!
Body Scrub
Sugar
Coconut Oil
Lavender Essential Oil (you can use whatever your nose prefers)
Placed mixture in small mason jar.
I bought my small 4 oz mason jars at Walmart. (Mason Jars). I have reused various jars from grocery items and friends. Always a good idea to check in with family and friends or even Freecycle or Buy Nothing to repurpose old jars.
Found a lot of the local thrift stores to charge crazy prices for mason jars!!!!!
Household Cleaners!
I have used up all of my cleaning products too.
I found a simple solution with white vinegar, water, and an used spray bottle.
I had a few auto cleaning cloths on hand so that will substitute for the wipes that I have been using.
Drain Cleaner:
1 cup Baking Soda (down the drain)
Followed by 2 cups of Boiling Water
Let Settle
Followed by 1 more cup of Baking Soda
More Boiling Water
Don't get scared by the bubbles (Thank you Crunchy Betty)
There are 2 stores nearby that sell cleaning products in bulk; I may check these out if my basic solution isn’t as powerful as needed to be (Peoples (Click me) in Ocean Beach and Earthwell (Click me) in North Park).
Anyone have any other SIMPLE recipes for cleaning products?
Anything specific for Mr. Toilet?
