Zero Waste - In the car, on the go, whatever - What to have in your sack!

We love sustainability and reusability here at Terrever.

We also all live on the go lives. Instead of adding to the millions of pounds of trash that is sent to dumps or goes into oceans, let's make a few swaps for more Green/Zero Waste/Sustainable choices.

Below are a few of our favorites:

  1. Reusable Coffee Cup - The majority of coffee cups provided by merchants are not recyclable. They may be manufactured from recycled products which is great, but why not bring in your own cup?

  2. Reusable Water Bottle - Stainless steel or glass. Use an old koozy to help protect the glass or knit a nice little holder.

  3. Water or drink cup - I either carry my large mouthed water bottle or a collapsible water cup (its from Sea to Summit for camping). This is especially handy when doing outdoor sports.

  4. Straw - From Stainless Steel to Bamboo, there are many choices out there. Most come with a cleaner to keep the straw clear of any debris!

  5. Cutlery kit - From the real deal to bamboo. Build your own or pick up a cute set online or from your favorite local greenish store.

  6. Bags - Foldable/collapsible bags are everywhere now.

  7. Napkin- Grab one from your own kitchen.

  8. Mason Jar or Beeswax wrap - the best on the go carry out items out there. Less waste and already with you!

You can find these items online, at your favorite greenish store, Trader Joe's or get crafty and make your own. Remembering your items get easier as time passes. It's ok to forget to, just try again next time. One step at a time; one day at a time.
